Travel Grant

The Korean Society of Nephrology (KSN) has decided to offer travel grants to support young nephrologists and fellows-in-training from overseas who will be attending KSN 2026.
Recipients will be selected by the Scientific Committee based on abstract scores. Presenting authors of selected abstracts who meet the following requirements will be considered for the grant.

*The Scientific Committee will monitor AI-generated abstracts, as well as plagiarized or paraphrased abstracts from other research, and will not select them for travel grant recipients

How to Apply
  • To apply, please visit the “Abstract Submission” page on the congress website and select the Travel Grant option in the designated section.
Eligibility
  • Presenting authors of accepted abstracts
  • Presenting authors must complete pre-registration and attend the congress on-site
  • Only international participants traveling from outside Korea are eligible

    * Foreigners residing in Korea are not eligible.

How to Receive the Grant
  • Recipients will receive a notice of award via email.
  • The Travel grant will be provided at the Preview Room upon completion of the presentation.
  • The travel grant may be awarded only once per presenting author.
Tax-related Documents Required for Payment of Travel Grant
  • Due to the 2026 amendment to the Korean tax law, Travel Grant recipients must submit all five required documents listed below to receive tax exemption under the applicable tax treaty.
  • If any of the five required documents listed below are not submitted, the Travel Grant will be subject to a 22% withholding tax under Korean tax regulations.
  • Submission Pried: April 13 (Mon) ~ June 5 (Fri), 2026
    • No additional or on-site submissions allowed after the document submission period.
    • Taxes will be imposed if any of the five required documents are not submitted within the period.
  • File Name: Abstract No _ Full Name (e.g. A-1234_Gil-dong Hong)
  • File format: Please compile all five required documents and submit them as a single ZIP file.
  • Submission Method: Individual submission links will be provided via email to Travel Grantees.

Please note that
  • Travel Grantees will be notified individually in advance via email, together with detailed instructions regarding the required documents. Selected applicants will be required to submit the necessary documents in accordance with these instructions.
  • The original Tax Residency Certificate must be submitted in advance. Please note that the issuance of this certificate may take approximately 1-3 weeks depending on the country.
  • If any of the five required documents listed below are not submitted, the Travel Grant will be subject to a 22% withholding tax under Korean tax regulations.
